The PlanM Difference

Australia's first NDIS Plan Manager specialising in supporting plan-managed and self-managed parents, carers and families with children and young adults.

PlanM brings a new approach to NDIS plan management to meet the expectations of a new generation of families. Our goal is to simplify the NDIS for you, reduce your financial admin and pass on to you our specialist knowledge so you can focus your time on your family rather than navigating the NDIS. It’s a plan manager made by parents, for parents.

Born from the experiences of parents

PlanM was developed by Mable, in response to the confusion from many parents about how they can use their child’s funding to get the supports they want.

PlanM was established as a registered plan manager to create a new model to better support these parents understand and realise the full potential of the NDIS for their children.

The decision to specialise in families with children and young people with disability is because we understand how crucial these years are to lay strong foundations for a good life and that these plans are built with a different funding approach to adult plans.

Our team brings years of experience to their roles, across all areas of disability, the NDIS, innovative support and financial management. All this teamed with a commitment to excellence in our financial support and a passion for working with families.

No, as per the NDIS guidance the role of a plan manager is not to determine whether the supports or services purchased are ‘reasonable and necessary’. Our PlanM Guides and training through our NDIS Knowledge Hub will help you understand and ensure that your funds are spent in accordance with your NDIS plan.

Yes, PlanM is a related entity to Mable, an online platform that helps people with disability find, connect and engage the services and support of your choice from Australia’s largest and most diverse online community of independent support workers.

A plan manager will pay providers for supports delivered. A plan manager will help you monitor your funds, and provide financial reporting.

A support coordinator will support you to understand and implement supports included in your plan. A support coordinator will link you to providers and other community and government services. A support coordinator will also support you to build skills and direction.

An NDIS Partner in the Community delivering Local Area Coordination or early childhood services may provide plan implementation and monitoring support to you. Partner organisations are appointed by the NDIA to help you understand the NDIS, and find providers of support suited to your needs. The difference between a local area coordinator and early childhood partner / ECEI coordinator is that a local area coordinator is allocated to participants aged 7 years and older, whereas early childhood partners / ECEI coordinators assist participants 6 years and under.

Choice, respect and transparency are at the heart of our values

We understand that you are your child’s advocate and know them best. You can expect respect and transparency from us, to support you to have choice and control over how you manage your child’s funding.
